The Delegation of Cordoba, considering the possibilities of generation of employment and richness of the audio-visual sector and taking into account the development expectations verified soon after the celebration of the Cartoon 99 Forum which was celebrated in our city, it was planned the support and the promotion of the animation industry as a strategic line in Cordoba.
Therefore, and throughout the Provincial Consortium of Economic Development, it was promoted the realisation of the first “Course of Techniques in Cinema of Animation” whose length is 800 hours in 2001-02. Concluded this course and in collaboration with the Advisement of Employment and Technological Development of the Junta de Andalucía, a new course of FPO began. It was called “Techniques of Realisation in Cinema of the Animation” whose length is 1470 hours. It concluded in May 31 in 2004. Most of the students who are concluded this course will be integrated in animation projects which are being produced in Cordoba.
Moreover, the Delegation of Cordoba has participated Summer University Cordoba during the summer times 2001, 2002 and 2003 with specific courses formed by 35 credits for the formation in animation.
The span of the project makes advisable to maximize the existent resources and getting the collaboration of other administrations and organisations, with the purpose of engaging efforts and reaching the proposed objective of establishing the Andalusian Centre of Formation in Animation and Audio-visual Plastic Arts in Cordoba.
For this Centre of Formation, a formation has been designed so that it has a length of three years, and that it would be in charge of the best national and international professionals in the sector.
