The course lasts 760 hours, in schedule at 9 to 14 from Monday to Friday. It started on February 24 in 2003 and concluded on July 20.
The Ministry of Employment and Technological Development co-finances with the Provincial Consortium of Economic Development.
During the course, that will be eminently practical, students started the knowledge of the different techniques which are used to make animation products, drawing, story-board, lay out, etc. So that at the end of these formative period, students had received basic information in the techniques of the animation industry.
As work of the end of course students developed their own projects, they are being original and the own creation as the character design, as the scripts and the structure of the projects. If we take into account that at the beginning of the course most of the students lacked of knowledge in techniques of animation, the advance and the learning of these students in this time so scarce It has spectacular, since some of them could even start their professional activity if the conditions were given for it.
The requirements to make the course were: to be unemployed, to be graduated and to surpass the access test that consisted of a drawing test.
The total number of students was 20 and they come from Cordoba and its province, from Seville and Jaén. The profile of the students was wide since graduates in Fine Arts, students from high school, or having only the graduate at school exist. However, the common point among them is the talent to draw and the aptitudes which demonstrate when being able to carry out their social activity within the animation industry.
The second part of the course lasted 710 hours, at 9 to 15 from Monday to Friday; this began on December 1 2003 and concluded on May 31 2004.
The price of the Course is co-financed again between the Ministry of Employment and Technological Development and the Provincial Consortium of Economic Development contributes the rest of the budget of the course for a price of 28.549,04 Euros.
This second part of the course has fifteen posts and accessed those students who ended the first formation course. During this, these fifteen students that already received the basic concepts through “Techniques of Realisation in Animation Cinema Course”. In this new edition of specialisation they have had the opportunity of perfecting the techniques in which they began in the last animation course, drawing, story-board. Layout, etc, but mainly it has served them because they have taken contact with the learning in digital animation through the module of application of new technologies.
The decreasing of posts is due to this course had a commitment of recruiting of 60% of the students that is assumed entirely by the Provincial Consortium. During six months we will proceed on time partially to the recruiting of nine students.
After the realisation of the test that took place on June 15 we proceeded to the recruiting of nine students on the part of the Provincial Consortium who were integrated in the working group that is developing the series RH+, and they started their labour activity in the animation industry and in Cordoba.
During the length of the course, the idea was matured of one of the end course works which students had presented for the previous edition. The idea was selected and gave as a result the short film “Zacarías Zombie”, in which the idea, the character design, the script, and so on, proceed by the own students.
In the production and elaboration of the short film we count with the advice and the collaboration of the Production Company Milímetros Dibujos Animados, S.A.
