THE GREETING OF THE PRESIDENT

Since the celebration of the Cartoon Forum in 1999, the Delegation of Cordoba has led the impulse to the audio-visual sector in our province and especially in the animation industry.

Thus, to the possibility of converting Cordoba in a referent of the Spanish animation with a world projection, Andalusian roots and European vocation, the City Council of Cordoba, the Provincial Consortium of Economic Development, the University of Cordoba and the company Milímetros Dibujos Animados, S.A. have engaged with enthusiasm.

In ANIMACOR we are aware that we are going to achieve this purpose and we understand this as remarkable contribution to the collective goal of winning for Cordoba the European Capital of the Culture in 2016.

In fact, a common project of unquestionable social profitability and with a strategic character is coming true, because ANIMACOR foments the employment for youth with high qualification; it is a focus of venturesome initiative and it designs the bases to establish a favourable mark to the culture, the arts, therefore, to the audio-visual industry.

We advance, because, for this way which drives to new employment and development opportunities, and in the one that any difficulty of the span projects can always be surpassed thanks to the institutional collaboration and with the sector of the animation, to the rigorous work and the illusions and the determination which Animacor members want to contaminate.

In each initiative, in this and the next ones, ANIMACOR is assuming the challenges which outline the development of the animation as industry, as singular factory of dreams that allows us to fulfil the tangible purposes of the employment with quality and the social progress in the XXI Century and the society of the knowledge.
