Aims
The Second International Animation Festival, Animacor ’06, to be held
in Córdoba from 23-28 October 2006, will be a cultural milestone for the
city, which will play host to the international audiovisual sector and
provide a forum for the world’s leading animation professionals. As the years
go by, this event will become a major feature of the professional calendar.
The programme for this event, and for the various activities designed to
take place alongside the Second International Animation Festival, Animacor ’06, has
been designed with the following aims in mind:
- To build on the success of the 2005 Festival, in terms of both professional
attendance and entries for the competition section.
- To boost the local audiovisual industry, and particularly the animation industry.
- To foster a more dynamic and better-consolidated Spanish audiovisual sector,
providing a focus for the exchange of knowledge and experience among audiovisual
producers and professionals.
- To promote the city of Córdoba at international level, as a key venue on the
international Animation Festival circuit, and an annual forum for the European
animation industry.
- To take advantage of this event to promote new trends and the application
of new technologies in the audiovisual industry.
- To provide a platform for the work of audiovisual producers and creators, a
chance for them to publicise their work. And a chance to discover new talents.
- To bring off a great cultural event, that will appeal to the most
demanding public, and will prompt debates, exhibitions, screenings, concerts
and professional meetings marked by their mature approach, their originality,
their creativity and their talent.
