The Andalusian Audiovisual Foundation is proud to present, at the Second International Animation Festival ANIMACOR 2006,
its 2005 Catalogue of Andalusian Audiovisual Productions,
the result of ongoing work backed by the institutional support achieved by the Foundation over the last few years, as well as the cooperation of all the Andalusian audiovisual companies mentioned in the Catalogue. The Catalogue’s content testifies to the quality and freshness of the audiovisual productions and projects developed in Andalusia.
The first edition of the Catalogue of Andalusian Audiovisual Productions proved to be of great value for the development and promotion of Andalusian audiovisual products and companies in the major markets of Europe, Asia and the United States. The positive response from the audiovisual sector confirmed the success of the first edition; for the present Catalogue, we have added the possibility of viewing an extract from the productions listed.
The productions listed here are the result of recent projects set up by the Andalusian audiovisual industry, which is committed to expanding output in terms of both quantity and quality, with a view to competing successfully in growing national and international markets. The productions are available on DVD, classified by genre and format under the headings: Animation, Film (long films and short films), Documentaries, Multimedia and Television.
Given the large number of visitors to the Foundation website, the catalogue has been placed on the site www.fundacionava.org both in English and in Spanish, thus enhancing the flow of information; this also provides a forum allowing audiovisual companies and professionals both here and abroad to share their daily experiences.
We are currently working with the Andalusian Innovation and Development Agency (IDEA) and the Andalusian Government Regional Development Agency, which belongs to the Department of Business, Science and Innovation, to develop a Platform for the Promotion of Andalusian Audiovisual Productions. This is a pioneering initiative based on new technology, which seeks to modernise and streamline the Andalusian audiovisual sector, with a view to providing a more stable access to external markets, thus facilitating the sale of audiovisual productions in Spain and abroad.
