Sinopsis:
The dwindling fortunes of hand-drawn "2D" animation, and the director's ambivalence toward most CGI or "3D" animation led to this experiment in the depiction of life in a one-dimensional world.
Some rules of geometry had to be broken, or we'd be staring at a straight line for four and a half minutes, but Euclid isn´t here to object.
One D follows our subjects, Bob and Diane, on a date that parodies several film genres, from romantic comedy to science fiction, with a look at thrillers and action-adventure for good measure.
This apparently isn´t a first date for our charmingly linear couple, but it may well be the last.
Biografía director:
Mike Grimshaw lives on Canada's west coast, where he works as a brain surgeon at a major hospital.
He blames the Original Oak in Leeds for his view of the world.
