No commercial regular service in operation. The nearest airport are in: Madrid, Sevilla, Jerez, Málaga, Granada. Travelling time from all of these is appox. two hours.
Córdoba enjoys a privileged and strategic location in the south-west of Europe. The Sierra Morena is its gateway from the north and the last link with the Castilian plateau before meeting the Guadalquivir depression, which divides Sierra Morena from the mountain ranges of Andalucía.
Córdoba is a strategic area for communication and contact between Europe and Africa, being less than two hours away (by air, rail or sea) from any of the main centres of communication in the Iberian Peninsula.
- The Diputación de Córdoba, will host the opening and closing ceremonies, the German-Spanish seminar, the tribute event and the exhibitions that will be organized as part of the Festival.
- The Filmoteca de Andalucía will host the film screenings for the competition categories, the animation showcase from our special guest country, Germany, and the non-competing films, as well as M-5´s current project, the feature film 'RH +', currently in its final production stage, in collaboration with the Diputación de Córdoba, and Radio Television de Andalucía (RTVA). The company has plans to complete another feature film for next summer, El cubo mágico (The Magic Cube), a sequel to Dragon Hill, which obtained the Spanish Goya Film Award for Best Animation Feature, and another project from M5 Audiovisual, which the company will also try to present this year, an animated series made for children based on The Quixote.
